On behalf of Rising Hope, the Consulate of the United Republic of Tanzania has the pleasure in inviting all members of the ICC and their families to the Bonanza Festival in Folketpark, Copenhagen, on Saturday 7th September 2024, 13:00 to 22:00.

29 08 2024 German fans of the Danish Olsen-Bande films have planned an event in Copenhagen on 29 August. It is the 50th anniversary of the film ‘Olsen-Bandens sidste bedrifter’ that contains a scene around the iconic Knippelsbro in the Danish capital. The German fans are allegedly planning to recreate the scene there.

The case is about telecommunications companies collecting information on the activities of all Danish telecommunications customers going back a year. Da Trelleborg i 1930’erne blev udgravet, som den første af vikingetidens store ringborge, var den en vaskeægte arkæologisk gåde. Hvem havde bygget den og hvorfor? I dag ved vi, at det mærkelige cirkelrunde voldsted ved Slagelse blev opført under Harald Blåtand i slutningen af 900-tallet sammen med andre borge. Trelleborg, der i dag er UNESCO Verdensarv, har været med til at give et nyt billede af vikingetiden i Danmark. Bogen følger arkæologernes arbejde fra de første forsigtige udgravninger og vilde spekulationer til de opsigtsvækkende fund, der har ført til, hvad vi i dag ved om Trelleborg og hvad vi tror, vi ved.
Søren Michael Sindbæk er professor i arkæologi og en af Danmarks mest anerkendte vikingetidseksperter . Han er kendt fra TV, podcasts, bøger og artikler, og i 2014 var han med til at opdage og udgrave den foreløbig sidst fundne store ringborg fra vikingetiden, Borgring ved Køge.
Vikingetidens ringborge fortæller den fascinerende historie om fem af vikingernes vigtigste monumenter: Aggersborg, Fyrkat, Trelleborg, Nonnebakken og Borgring. Serien er en videnshistorie om vikingetiden, der samtidig sætter fokus på de spørgsmål og gåder, som borgene stadig rummer.
